This song is, perhaps, the most personal to me, because I feel like it comes as close to defining who I am than any other song I've ever heard. A song about someone who's desperately wanting to find love,
but is afraid that they don't know how to be loved. Or, perhaps, afraid to love themselves. A song about someone who, perhaps, has played their perfect love in their head over and over again, but is afraid
to search for that love. Afraid to be hurt. Again. Afraid to love. Afraid to be loved.
This song is probably the most famous Savage Garden song there is. Very romantic. Very innocent. It is a song that, perhaps, has defined Savage Garden. Whether or not this is a fair assessment remains to be
debated. Either way, it is definitely one of those ultimate wedding songs.
Can I talk about this song without mentioning the LIVE version? Definitely NOT!! This is the ultimate live song. Full of life, and full of Mr. Darren Hayes -- the ultimate performer. Am I biased? Damn proud of it too!!
I love the acoustic version of this song. Then again, I love any acoustic version of songs, because it allows Darren's fantastic voice to flow through you.
One of the many songs that really show you how complex and amazing Darren's lyric writing ability is. Not to mention how great the music is. Then again, isn't it always? *grins*
This has been one of my favorite songs ever since the first time I heard it. It SCREAMS sex appeal. You can close your eyes and almost picture yourself in the song...with Darren. Is it hot in here, or is it just me?
The most Savage song there is. It's very easy to get lost in the lyrics. Picture vampires dancing in the moonlight (No, this is NOT a BSB's video! hehehe). Watch out Anne Rice! ;)
I'll be honest. When I first heard this song, it wasn't one of my favorites. It was a bit too disco-ie for me. Soon, I grew to love the song. Mainly because of Darren's voice. It's hard to explain, but there are
parts in there where his pitch gives me chills. He is an amazing, amazing talent!
This song always reminds me of when the Outsiders rang wild over the Internet. OK, so only those of us who were in the Outsiders are going to know what that means, and most of them probably won't see this comment, but oh well.
That's why it's my site! hehehe I also feel like this song is a great one to speak against censorship. One that, perhaps, could be used when talking about the censoring of "Mine.
Another song that has an acoustic version that gives me chills. This is also a song that reminds me of the Outsiders, for various reasons. This song also shows how diverse Savage Garden's music is. It's a very hard song from a group
that seems to be known for it's slow, romantic songs.
Yet another song I cannot talk about without mentioning the live version. Anyone who's seen the guys version of "Sugar Pie" knows what I mean. Even though it's a song that has a sadder feel, it sounds so sweet when you remember Darren's smile
when he performed it live.
I think the reason why this song touches me might be obvious. Anyone who spends a considerable time online can probably relate. It's a world that gives you so many connections, and feels so real. It's also a world that can suck you in. A place to hide.
From other people, and yourself.

Two words: LIVE VERSION!!! I tried to explain to one of my friends that the live version of this song was a cross between Austin Powers and Michael Jackson. *snickers* She had NO idea what she was in for. I like to think that there are two Darrens. The
every day normal Darren that we, perhaps, don't see, and that we do see during interviews and on television. Then there is the superstar Darren, who we see on the stage. A wild and crazy guy who will do anything, OK almost anything, to get a reaction
out of the crowd. Personally, I think he's successful!!
Another one of my favorite songs, because it talks about some issues that I really believe in. I make no bones about the fact that I am a religious person. I think it's fantastic that the guys aren't afraid to put out songs like these. Holding their beliefs up high.
I'll be honest. This is a song that I do like, but it hasn't touched me quite in the way that all the other songs have. Perhaps it's because it's talking about a situation that I really can't relate to. Finding the one person you can't live without.
This is another song that I can't really relate to. However, I do have a story for it. I've taken a lot of psychology classes. In those classes, we talk a lot about memory. One thing we learned is that memory fades over time. Well, I was a sophomore the first time
we learned this lesson. I wrote it in my notebook as "Memories are Designed to Fade". To this day, that's the one thing I remember, more so than anything else, about how memory works. hehehe
This was a song that I took as wanting something that you can't have. A song that I really can relate to. This was until this morning when I was doing the page for the lyrics and began reading them closely. I will NEVER look at this song the same again. The reason?
It got twisted into a VERY sexual meaning. Try reading through the lyrics. See what you think/
This song reminds me of my time in Chicago. Walking down the busy streets with Starbucks hot cocoa in my hand. It has a very city feel to it. Something that's hard to describe in words
if you haven't been in a big city before. Darren does an amazing job.
Another very sexual song that I loved from the first time that I heard it. For some reason, every time I listen to this song, I think of a figure skating routine (OK, I'm showing another one of my passions here). I have the image of a couple skating to this song
very slowly, very passionately.

This was another one of these songs that I honestly didn't know if I liked at first. It's so different. After a while, the song grew on me. The line that I especially love is "I believe the beauty magazines promote low self esteem." It's really great to hear
a line like that coming from someone who is in the spotlight. To hear them admit that things aren't always as they appear to be in the magazines or on the television. I really wish this message would have been
out there when I was a young girl; looking at all the beautiful ladies in the magazines and on the television. And noticing that I didn't match up to their beauty.
This is such a beautifully sad song. The lyrics that always bring me in are "More than angry words I hate this silence..." You'll see where it goes from there, if you don't know already. I can't tell exactly why those lines are the ones
that bring me in like they do. Perhaps because you can really feel Darren's pain coming out through those lyrics.
What can I say about IKILY...It's just another beautiful love song. Innocent. Much like Truly in that way. Yet, I think it's a song that stands alone from Truly. It was a great choice off of the album to
represent themselves to the general music fans.
This is one of my favorite songs on the album. It's very catchy and very upbeat. Much like I Want You in that way. The lyrics are captivating to say the least. A definite roller coaster ride.
This is one of those songs that just makes me feel better. It seems like Darren's way of letting us know that everyone has bad days, and the important thing is to get up and move on.
Something that's definitely not easy to do. Something I struggle with everyday. It let's me know that there is still hope. I will get up, one of these days.
This is another feel good song. It's a song I often listen to when I'm feeling stressed from writing a paper or studying for an exam. Somehow Darren's words always help to free me. They allow
me to clear my mind, and get refocused on what I'm doing.
This is another one of my favorite songs on this album. It's extremely uptempo. A definate club song.
This is another song that reminds me of the city. Unlike Love Can Move You, this song focuses more on the lonely side of the city. The isolation. The feeling of being lost in the crowds.
The first song that captured my attention regarding domestic violence was a song called Independence Day (the lyrics to this song is in my This Side of Me section). Honestly, when
I first heard this song, I wasn't sure if I liked it, mainly because it didn't have the power that Independence Day has. After listening to it a few more times, I realized how much power
Darren put in a very simple song. That's what I admire most about this song.
This song was automatically associated with all the people that I lost to death in my life. Not only those people who were in my family or social group, but also my heroes (not to say that some of the people
that passed away in my family aren't my heroes). For that reason, it's a song that is difficult to listen to, but at the same time it's a very peaceful song. Very hopeful. Very Free.
I fear that this is one of those songs that will drive the critics nuts if they take it at its face value (which they usually tend to do). Personally, I find this song very humorous. Very tongue in cheek. Very Darren.
I can't put into words how much I admire Darren writing this song. It had to have been so personal. So hard to sing. Darren has an amazing ability to wear his heart on his sleeve. This song, more so than any one else, really proves
how much he's willing to expose.

There are artists who have voices that just scream Christmas. Darren's voice is one of those voices to me. So, I was really excited to hear that
Darren was going to be doing a Christmas song. He did an amazing job at it too, I might add. What a way to say Marry Christmas!! I REALLY hope he does more Christmas songs in the future.
Honestly, I just got a CD with this song on a couple of weeks ago, so I'm not sure I have a really great feel for it, as I do for the other songs. The one thing that impresses me about this song is the
music. Especially the beginning where it really sounds like there is a train going.
